Shropshire based
Wrekin Grasstrack Club are to start their season at Loomer Road on the
15th March when many of the countries top Grasstrack and Shorttrack
riders will line up for a Speedway Challenge.
The meeting will feature a 16 rider Open Class to cater for 250, 350
,500,Upright and Pre 75 Grasstrack riders with support classes from FGA
Juniors and FGA Seniors on their 125 Honda powered machines and also
Shorttrack racing. Line up in the Open Class is going to produce some
great racing.Already confirmed in the line up we have the talented "Mr
Entertainment" Jamie Rodgers,top teenager 16 year old Tom Perry and
former speedway riders Phil Ashcroft, and Wayne Barrett. Top UK
Shottrack riders also now included include Peter Boast and Aiden Collins
and a great FGA125 line up which features former Buxton Hitman Steve
Mildoon.
A total of 58 heats are scheduled with the days racing closed out with
Winner Takes All Finals -SGP style
Racing will start at 1.00pm and admission to the stadium with be free of
charge.The full bar and catering facilities will also be open so it
should be a good way to start the season for riders and spectators
alike.
