Throughout the year there are various events at Loomer Road Stadium.
Details will appear here as and when we get them

AMATEUR SPEEDWAY RACING. 14/02/10
POSTPONED

It gives us great pleasure to announce that Stoke Speedway will be holding their first amateur meeting for 2010 on Sunday the 14th of February, from 12.00 – 15.30.

The format for the event will be the normal three classes i.e. Open class- for riders around the conference league level, Novice class- for riders who are from complete beginners to those who can normally get a full slide on, and Intermediate class- for those who are somewhere between the two.

Youth classes will run depending on entries received.

The cost for the meeting will be £35 (£25 for under 15s) and free to spectators.

Naturally there will be the ambulance and paramedics in attendance and the full café and bar facilities will be in action.

Each rider will be programmed for five rides, with the three highest point’s scorers taking the trophies in each class. Should there be riders in the top three finishing on equal points a run off will decide the final result. There will also be a trophy fore the person judged to be the “rider of the meeting” in each class.

Helmet colours will be required but can be borrowed (with advanced notice) and dirt deflectors are required for all but the novice class.

A limited number of hire bikes will be available at a cost of entering the meeting being £120 for 500cc and £100 for 125cc youth. These will only be available to those who have ridden before.

Full spares, fuel/ oil etc will be available from the track.

The event will take place here at the Loomer Road Stadium.

Anyone who wishes to ride is asked to reserve a place by contact Michael Gittings on  07717 573639 or email Michael.g06@tiscali.co.uk and place a £15 deposit (£50 for hire bikes).

The deposit can be in the form of a cheque/postal order made payable to Crewsline ltd. The address to send it to is Michael Gittings, 45 Sheringham drive, Rugeley, Staffordshire, WS15 2YG.

Any other questions please contact Michael on the above methods. If I am unavailable then please leave a message and I’ll get back to you at the earliest opportunity.

Anyone travelling long distance is welcome to camp over at the track the night before and shower/ toilets/ water facilities can be made available, please indicate that you are planning to stop over when booking in.

Note there will also be an open practice the Sunday beforehand (07/02/2010) at the normal times of 12.00- 15.30.
