STOKE Easy
Rider
Potters team
manager John
Woolridge
labelled his
side a
‘disgrace’
as the
Potters were
thumped out
of sight by
league
leaders
King’s Lynn
as the Stars
romped to a
69-23
victory over
the Potters
at the
Norfolk
Arena last
night.
Woolridge
said “It was
a shocking
performance
and
embarrassing
for Stoke
Speedway
as a whole,
it was
nothing
short of
being a
disgrace and
that is not
acceptable
and I’d
like to
apologise to
the
supporters
for such a
shocking
performance.
“Only Lee (Complin)
and guest
Darren (Mallett)
came out
with any
pride from
tonight.”
The Potters
were hit
right from
the off as
they lost
Dane Klaus
Jakobsen to
a back
injury after
he looped
his bike and
fell heavily
on the
parade lap.
Jakobsen was
taken to
hospital as
a precaution
after
complaining
of lower
back pain.
Once the
meeting
began the
Potters were
hit with
eleven five
one maximum
heat
reverses
with the
Potters
providing
just one
heat winner
out of the
fifteen
races and
only one
heat
advantage
which both
came in the
final race
as Lee
Complin took
victory with
Jason Bunyan
taking third
for a Stoke
4-2.
Skipper
Complin was
also in the
only drawn
race of the
evening also
as he took
second place
as a
tactical
ride in heat
ten as he
managed to
split the
Stars
pairing of
Ty Proctor
and Linus
Eklof for a
drawn 4-4
heat.
Three
King’s Lynn
riders were
unbeaten by
a Stoke
rider as
they all
collected
paid
maximums.
